Animal Crossing millefeui cards were the next release in the world of Animal Crossing trading cards since e-reader sets. The Wild World collection was the first of 4 series. They were released by Takara Tomy and licensed by Nintendo in 2005.
The Animal Crossing Wild World series was the only set based on the DS version of Animal Crossing. With future series inspired by the doubutsu no mori Movie.
Millefeui cards are primarily transparent, allowing them to be layered together to create a scene. This gives collectors the ability to design Animal Crossing Villager homes using nothing but cards!
Each booster pack contained 6 random cards, each corresponding to specific elements of the scene:
- (S Layer) Wallpaper
- (A Layer) Carpet
- (B Layer) Background Furniture
- (C Layer) Character
- (D Layer) Foreground Furniture
- (E Layer) Exterior House/Shop
The Animal Crossing millefeui Wild World set consists of 14 scenes. Each with 6 cards. Totalling 86 cards to collect if you include promotional cards.
4 scenes were bundled with a board game and not available in booster packs. These are considered promotional cards.
2 additional promo cards (pictured right) came free with Character Parfait Vol 4 in October 2007. This is the only scene made up of only 2 cards.
